Chico man arrested in frozen yogurt shop robbery
A Chico man has been arrested for robbing a frozen yogurt shop where he worked on Dec. 2 with a gun that was stolen years ago.
Jeromy Waybright, 20, 808 W Second Ave., was arrested the next day. He worked at the Jon and Bons frozen yogurt shop on Mangrove Avenue in Chico.
Here’s what happened, according to the Chico Police Department:
A man entered the store Sunday night wearing all black clothing with gloves, a three-hole ski mask and a gun.
The only people in the shop at the time were two

Pole vaulter for Chico State’s track team looks to the future
Lance Huber is only a freshman on Chico State’s track team, but he has his eyes set on getting to the Olympics in the future.
Huber is a business major and a pole vaulter for the track and field team at Chico State and is from Loomis, California.
“I want to make it to nationals, make podium in my first year and then, in my second year, make nationals again and win,” Huber said. “The way I am progressing right now with the tools Chico has given me, I’m on the path to do that.”

Camp Fire Has Potential To Spread To Oroville
The Camp Fire that is burning in the Paradise area of Butte County has now covered more than 100,000 acres and is 20 percent contained. Nine people have died. Officials are now saying that strong northeast winds Saturday night could move the fire to Oroville.
